How a skip trace works
Results depend on the quality of the starting information. Share the full name, date of birth if known, last-known addresses, phone numbers, employers and associates, and the purpose of the search.
A locate cannot be guaranteed. If we cannot confirm an address, you receive a best-efforts report with the steps taken, probable leads and recommended next steps.
Pricing depends on scope, urgency, location and any field confirmation. Registry and third-party fees are itemized, and we confirm totals before work begins.
We search across known aliases, prior names, and likely transliterations. Where available, we use linkage evidence such as historical addresses, associates, or corporate ties to confirm that separate identities point to the same subject.
Often yes. We correlate postal data, historical listings, and ancillary records to narrow down probable units. Where rules permit, field confirmation or process server attendance can finalize the exact unit for service.
Results are delivered by secure email in a clear report format that summarizes findings, confidence levels, and recommended next steps. Where required by the court or a recipient, certified or notarized statements can be arranged.
Yes. For long-running files, we can schedule periodic refreshes or trigger-based checks. Monitoring frequency is tailored to your matter, with clear scope, timelines, and costs defined in advance.
We can hand off confirmed addresses to our Process Serving team, coordinate optimal service windows, and provide GPS-backed attempts and service reports. This integrated approach reduces cycle time and increases first-attempt success.
We do not conduct surveillance. Neighbour or associate contact is used sparingly and only where lawful, appropriate, and proportional to the purpose. We never harass, misrepresent, or pressure third parties for information.
If a definitive locate is not possible, we deliver a best-efforts report with the investigative path taken, probable leads, and recommended next steps. Depending on the engagement model, partial fees and disbursements may still apply.
We collect only the minimum necessary data, store it securely, and release results only to authorized parties. Retention is limited to legal and operational requirements, after which records are securely destroyed according to policy.
Use is limited to the lawful purpose agreed at intake. If you intend to take adverse action in an employment or tenancy context, additional consent, disclosure, or legal steps may be required. We will advise on process boundaries before release.
